Sidewalk proposed on the east side of Ladson Road from Edgewood Avenue to Stateside Court

Pursuant to Section 49-53 of the Montgomery County Code (2004) as amended, a virtual public hearing shall be held on Tuesday, April 23, 2023, at 7:00 p.m. The hearing will be broadcast over the internet via Zoom.

To register, paste the above link into your browser and click on the “Schedule” tab of the website, where you will find a link to register to attend the hearing. Please note, registration closes on April 22, 2024, at 3:00pm. On the morning of the hearing on April 22, 2024, MCDOT will email the Zoom link and passcode to all registrants.

Audio and video of the hearing will be recorded, a link to which will be posted on the project webpage linked above.

The sole purpose of a public hearing is to allow residents an opportunity to present oral and/or written comments concerning construction of a sidewalk that provides pedestrians, including those with disabilities, and bicyclists safer travel to schools and nearby public attractions or facilities. The following hearing will begin at 7:00 p.m. and run continuously until all information is presented and the hearing has concluded.

WRITTEN TESTIMONY CARRIES THE SAME WEIGHT AS ORAL TESTIMONY. Written testimony for consideration may be submitted to: walkyourway@montgomerycountymd.gov. Please visit the Safe Routes to School project webpage, link above, to obtain digital copies of the sidewalk proposal files.

Interpreter services will be provided upon request. Please allow (5) business days advance notice when requesting interpreter services.
