KIPP DC intends to enter a sole source contract with CommonLit for services related to the design and implementation of customized literacy extension curricula. The decision to sole source was made based on the following factors: the diversity and depth of CommonLit’s source library; the organization has the capacity and ability to tailor their existing materials to meet our specific needs; there would be negative implications to student success and learning if KIPP DC were to contract with another organization because CommonLit has previously developed materials for KIPP DC.
