NOTICE OF INTENT TO ENTER

SOLE-SOURCE CONTRACT

I Dream Public Charter School (“I Dream PCS”) intends to enter into a sole source contract with Traditional Expressions for the 2024-2025 school year.

I Dream PCS provides extracurricular activities for PK3-5th grade students to continue to build their social-emotional and academic skills outside of academic class time. We need culturally responsive and holistic experiences for our young learners that not only honor their cultures and heritages, but also expose them to music, language, and movement from places far from home. We need expertise in music, language, and movement that teaches the connections between who they are and where they come from.

Traditional Expressions has been delivering these services and expertise for I Dream PCS since 2020 and have a unique combination of African drumming expertise, education expertise and deep knowledge of the DC communities our school serves through their network of partner schools and long-term experience. Based on our experience working with them and the unique capabilities they offer, it is in our best interest to continue our partnership with them.

The cost of this contract is $42,000, for one year. The sole source contract will be awarded on Monday, September 16, by 5:00pm. If you have any questions, please contact Janine Gomez (Executive Director) before the award date using the information below:
