NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT THE COUNTY BOARD OF ARLINGTON CO., VA, on December 14, 2024, at 2100 Clarendon Boulevard, Suite 307, Arlington Virginia 22201 in a meeting at 9:00 A.M. or as soon thereafter as matters may be heard, will consider the following cases, after offering the public an opportunity to be heard in a public hearing.

Members of the public may participate virtually and in person. Speakers signing up will also be available in-person on the day of the meeting. Copies of proposed plans, ordinances, amendments and applications, and related planning case materials may be viewed in-person at Arlington County offices available in the Permit Arlington Center (or PAC) (2100 Clarendon Boulevard, Suite 107, Arlington, VA) between 9:00 A.M. – 3:00 P.M. Monday through Thursday, except for the third Wednesday of each month when the PAC’s hours are 9:00 A.M.-12:00 P.M. The term Site Plan in this notice refers to a Special Exception Site Plan as defined in the Arlington County Zoning Ordinance and is not the same as an engineering site plan or construction plans submitted in satisfaction of other codes or ordinances. Ordinance to Permit the Encroachment of an Underground Transformer Vault and Surface Level Lids within Existing Easements for Public Alley Purposes and Public Sidewalk and Utilities Purposes on Parcel A, 2025 Clarendon Boulevard Subdivision, known as The Wendy and located at 2025 Wilson Boulevard, Arlington, Virginia (RPC# 17-011-076), with conditions.

Ordinance to Vacate a Portion of a 10’ Storm Drainage Easement on Lot 8-A, Resubdivision of Lots 7 and 8, Offutt & Florance Addition to Country Club Hills, known as 3815 N. Abingdon St., Arlington, Virginia (RPC# 03-073-014), with conditions.

ORDINANCES, PLANS, AND POLICIES

SUBJECT: An ordinance to amend the Department of Community Planning, Housing and Development (CPHD) development related fees as depicted on the Zoning Fee Schedule related to adaptive reuse amendments, including associated County Department of Environmental Services fees, effective December 17, 2024. SUBJECT: Ordinance, with an effective date of December 15, 2024, to amend, reenact, and recodify Chapter 26 (Utilities), Article III (Stormwater Utility), Section 26-122 (Stormwater utility fee credits), Subsection B(2) (Voluntary Credits) of the Arlington County Code to modify the County’s Stormwater Utility Credit Program.

SUBJECT: Ordinance to (1) Amend and reenact a non-codified ordinance enacted at the July 16, 2022, County Board meeting establishing an interim rate, effective January 1, 2025, for County-owned electric vehicle charging stations (“County Stations”) to (i) repeal the interim rate, (ii) enact a new base fee for use of County Stations, (iii) establish a dwell time fee for County Stations, and (iv) authorize and direct the County Manager or the County Manager’s designee to update the base fee commensurate with changes in electricity costs in the Virginia Energy Purchasing Governmental Associations (VEPGA) rate schedule; and (2) Amend, reenact, and recodify Chapter 14.2 (Motor Vehicles and Traffic), Article I (Motor Vehicle Code), Division 2 (Regulation of Traffic), Subdivision C (Parking and Stopping on Highway) of the Arlington County Code (“County Code”), effective December 14, 2024, to include a new County Code Section 14.2-38.4 to (a) prohibit parking vehicles that are not in the process of charging in parking spaces clearly marked as reserved for charging plug-in electric motor vehicles and (b) establish a civil penalty of not more than $25.00 for violations of the new County Code Section 14.2-38.4.
