Annual Uncompensated Care Publication
As a Certificate of Need (CON) holder, T&N Reliable Nursing Care hereby publishes the uncompensated care obligation of its organization for free home health services or services at a reduced rate equal to 3% of annual Operating Expenses to the District of Columbia Residents.
1. The organization shall provide a written notice
to each person seeking uncompensated care
services of the availability of the services before
providing services.
2. The value of uncompensated care the
organization intends to make available during
the fiscal year is 3%.
3. The Organization proposes to make available
$0.00 as charity care for the fiscal year because
bad debts for 2023 amounted to 4% of annual
operating cost and the 2024 bad debts would
likely amount to about 3.9%.
4. The Organization has satisfied all outstanding
uncompensated care obligations from previous
reporting periods.
5. Under District of Columbia law, T&N Reliable
Nursing Care must make its services available
to all people in the community. This
Organization is not allowed to discriminate
against a person because of race, color,
religion, national origin, sex, age, marital
status, personal appearance, sexual orientation,
family responsibilities, matriculation, political
affiliation, physical handicap, source of income,
or place of residence or business, or because a
person is covered by a program such as
Medicare or Medicaid.
6. This Organization is also required to provide a
reasonable volume of services without charge
or at a reduced charge to persons unable to
pay. Ask the staff if you are eligible to receive
services either without charge or at a reduced
charge. If you believe that you have been
denied services or consideration for treatment
without charge or at a reduced charge without
a good reason, contact the Admissions or
Business Office at 202/529/6510 Extensions
1108, 1114 or 1110, and call the State Health
Planning and Development Agency through the
Citywide Call Center at 202-727-1000.
7. If a DC Resident want to file a complaint, forms
are available from the State Health Planning
and Development Agency.
8. A person seeking uncompensated care may
request it by calling 202/529/6510 Ext. 1106 or
1114.
