ORDER OF PUBLICATION

The object of this proceeding is to, inter alia, quiet title of unimproved real known as Lot 1022 in Square 5869 (the “Property”) which is also known as vacant lot on Howard Road SE, Washington, D.C. 20020, according to D.C. tax assessment records and encompasses an approximately 32 sq. ft. lot situated in the front of a paved parking lot on Howard Road, SE, and to the Southeast of certain improved property which has a street address of 2458 Martin Luther King, Jr., Ave., SE, Washington, D.C.

Pursuant to the Order of the Hon. Maurice A. Ross, dated December 16, 2024, it is hereby:

ORDERED, that the Order of Publication annexed hereto shall be published in The Daily Washington Law Reporter and The Washington Times, newspapers having general circulation in the District of Columbia, once a week in each for three (3) consecutive weeks; and it is further

ORDERED, that if any unknown person claiming any ownership interest in that certain unimproved real property known for tax and assessment purposes as Lot 1022 in Square 5869, which is the subject matter of this action, shall fail to file any such claims herein within forty (40) days following the date of said first publication, exclusive of Sundays and legal holidays, this action will be taken as confessed and a default entered by the Clerk against any and all such persons without further Court action, and any such claim shall be foreclosed and forever barred as an ownership claim, lien, or encumbrance upon said real property; and it is further

ORDERED, that if no claim is filed within the forty (40) day period aforesaid, the Plaintiff may apply for a final Order granting Plaintiff’s relief requested in the Verified Complaint relating to the Premises as against any unknown parties not of record.
