REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS

Request for Proposal for Window Cleaning and/or Pressure Washing of Facility Exteriors

District of Columbia International School (DCI) invites written proposals from qualified Contractors to provide WINDOW CLEANING SERVICES and/or PRESSURE WASHING OF FACILITY EXTERIORS of our building at 1400 Main Drive NW, 20012.

With your proposal, please include qualifications, references, and proof of insurance coverage. The Contractor is responsible for any damage caused by their employees and/or equipment to any District property (structures, windows, and roof, etc.) and shall replace any damaged piece of property at no cost to the DCI.

The scope of work designated in these specifications shall consist of furnishing all management, supervision, labor, technicians, proper licenses, materials, parts, tools, equipment, chemicals, supplies, transportation, travel time, lodging, per diem, fuel surcharges and insurance to efficiently and effectively provide the services designated under the Contract for Window Cleaning Services and/or Pressure Washing of Exterior Brick Areas for DCI. The services are to be completed during each cleaning intervals in the shortest possible time with the minimal inconvenience as possible to the school operations. Cleaning must be coordinated at a time that has no disruption of school operations. Clean-up of equipment and materials must occur daily after every shift.

Contractor must protect all adjacent areas not to be pressure washed by taking appropriate measures. Areas to be protected include: All electrical boxes, equipment, and cameras, Landscaping and shrubbery, Windows, Elevators, Carpeting, Fragile Signs that may be damaged by pressure washing should be protected.

DCI has approximately 650 windows, in a building that is approximately 200,000 sq ft, 4 stories high, with brick siding, pillars, wooden dentals, and decorative wood finishings. Contractor will need to supply a 60-70 ft lift.

DCI will accept proposals for window washing, pressure washing, or both, with an itemized breakdown of cost.
