To: ALONZO WATSON, father of a female child born on June 8, 2014 and placed in the custody of the Scotland County Department of Social Services on or about May 10, 2019. PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that a Petition has been filed by the Scotland County Department of Social Services for the purposes of terminating your parental rights. You must prepare and file with the Clerk of Superior Court of Scotland County a written answer to the Petition within forty (40) days of the first date of publication (written below). You must serve a copy of the answer on the Petitioner’s attorney (address below). If you fail to file an answer the Petitioner will apply to the Court for the relief demanded in the Petition. You are entitled to attend any hearing affecting your parental rights.

If you are indigent and not already represented by counsel, you are entitled to appointed counsel in this matter, and may contact the Clerk of Court of Scotland County in order to request that counsel be appointed to you.
