Application for Annual Quarry License Certification

Holcim Mid-Atlantic, Inc., Travilah Quarry

The Department of Environmental Protection is currently evaluating the annual quarry license certification submitted by Holcim Mid-Atlantic Inc., for the Travilah Quarry, 13900 Piney Meetinghouse Road, Rockville, MD. Quarry Licenses are granted for three years with the requirement the licensee must file an annual certification updating the information in the most recent license application in the years between renewals.

Certification and related documents are available for public inspection and can be viewed on the Department’s website by visiting the Quarry Questions page at:

https://www.montgomerycountymd.gov/DEP/contact/quarry.html.

The Department will receive written comments on the completeness and accuracy of the certification for 14 days after publication of this notice. On request of any interested party during the 14-day comment period, the Department must conduct an information meeting within 30 days to receive public comments upon the completeness and accuracy of the certification.
