2026 ANNUAL ACTION PLAN HEARING

Public Hearing for the District of Columbia’s

FY 2026 Annual Action Plan (AAP)

The Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD), announces a series of public hearings on “Housing and Community Development Needs in the District of Columbia”. The Department is interested in receiving community feedback for the District’s draft of the District of Columbia Fiscal Year 2026 Annual Action Plan and the spending priorities utilizing federal entitlement funds.

2026 Annual Action Plan Public Hearing Details:

• Tuesday, August 5, 2025, 1:00 PM (Location: 1909 Martin Luther King Jr Ave SE, Washington, DC 20020)

Residents and stakeholders are strongly encouraged to come out and participate in the development of policies and programs in the following areas: 1) affordable housing; 2) special needs housing; 3) homelessness; 4) homeownership; and 5) community development and public service activities.

If you would like to provide input during the hearing, you are encouraged to register by sending an e-mail to opm.questions@dc.gov. The public may also contact the agency at (202) 442-4382 to join the webinar, register, speak at the hearing, or ask general questions about the hearing. When registering for the hearing, please provide your name, address, telephone number, and organization affiliation, if any.

Deadline for requesting services of an interpreter is five days prior to the hearing date. Bilingual staff will provide services on an availability basis to walk-ins without registration. An American Sign Language (ASL) interpreter will be available and Spanish interpretation will be available; residents who require language interpretation in Vietnamese, Chinese-Mandarin/Cantonese, Amharic, or French must notify the agency by e-mail to opm.questions@dc.gov.
