This matter came before the Court upon a Petition for Adoption and Change of Name of a child who shall be known as SOPHIA JOYCE DAILEY SARGENT and upon the allegation that the biological father has, without just cause, abandoned the child, having neither visited nor contacted the child for a period of at least six months immediately prior to the filing of the Petition for Adoption; and an Affidavit having been made and filed showing that the biological father cannot be found and that diligence has been used without effect to ascertain the location of the party to be served, the name of said biological father being Antonio Eliseo Amaya-Melendez, whose last known address is 3392 Longbow Court, Woodbridge, Virginia 22192;

UPON CONSIDERATION WHEREOF, this Order of Publication is granted, and it is ORDERED that Antonio Eliseo Amaya-Melendez shall appear here on or before September 20, 2025 to do what is necessary to protect her interest in this cause. A written response may be filed in lieu of a court appearance. It is further

ORDERED that this Order of Publication shall be published once each week for four successive weeks in the Washington Times, and that the Clerk of this Court shall post a copy of the Order at the front door of the courthouse and mail a copy to the legal father at his last known address.The Certificate of Publication and bill are to be forwarded to Karen Stoutamyer Law, Esquire, of 43330 Junction Plaza, Suite 164, Ashburn, Virginia 2014.
