TOWN OF VIENNA, VIRGINIA

NOTICE INTENT TO ADOPT

MEALS TAX RATE EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1ST , 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN pursuant to the provisions of the Code of Virginia and the Town of Vienna, Virginia, that at the Regular Council Meeting of September 29, 2025, it is the intent of the Town Council to adopt the following:

Meals tax rate of four percent (4%) on the amount paid for meals purchased from

any food establishment, whether prepared in such food establishment or not,

and whether consumed on the premises or not, effective January 1, 2026.

Copies of the proposed ordinance, are available in the Department of Finance and the office of the Town Clerk and may be viewed Monday through Friday during regular working hours, 8:00 a.m. through 4:30 p.m.
