PLANNING COMMISSION

NOTICE is hereby given that a meeting of the Fairfax County Planning Commission is to be held in the Board Auditorium of the Fairfax County Government Center, 12000 Government Center Parkway, Fairfax, Virginia 22035.

The Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on a proposed amendment to the Zoning Ordinance of the County Code to consider changes regarding PRC Plan Exceptions and Minor Modifications, which is advertised by reference. The changes, as set forth in the staff report may include, without limitation: (1) amending provisions regarding when a PRC Plan is required, including adding a new exception for certain additions or changes to approved recreational uses and structures in common open space and deleting certain PRC Plan exceptions; (2) adding a new provision for minor modifications to replace an active recreational facility with another facility with similar recreational opportunities and impacts; (4) reducing the fee for homeowners’ associations for interpretations of approved zoning applications and minor variations to proffered conditions; and (5) adding a new fee for PRC Plans for community recreation in common open space.

After the hearing, the Commission may make appropriate changes in the ordinance or proposed amendment.
