NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

CITY OF FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA

Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Fairfax at its meeting on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. in City Hall Room Annex (City Council Chambers), Room 100, 10455 Armstrong Street, will hold a public hearing to consider the following:

A resolution requesting the 2026 Session of the Virginia General Assembly to enact amendments to Section 2.2(c) of the City Charter, relating to the levy of the transient occupancy tax; Section 3.1 of the City Charter, relating to the election of the Mayor, the members of the City Council and, by implication, the members of the School Board; and Section 5.2(f) of the City Charter, relating to compensation of members of boards and commissions.

A copy of the proposed resolution is available from the City Clerk’s office upon request.

All interested parties are invited to attend the public hearing and express their views.
