Draft Chloride TMDL Action Plan

Fairfax County has developed a Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) Action Plan for Chloride in the Accotink Creek watershed. The county is soliciting comments on the proposed strategies to meet the requirements in Part I D 2 of its Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) permit that became effective January 4, 2024. The County’s final plan must be submitted to DEQ no later than July 3, 2026.

The plan can be accessed online at https://publicinput.com/localtmdl. Physical copies of the plan will be available for review during regular business hours at the information desk at the Fairfax County Government Center (12000 Government Center Parkway, Fairfax), and in the Virginia Room located on the second floor of the City of Fairfax Regional Library, 10360 North St, Fairfax, VA 22030.
