This is to notify members of the bench, bar, and public that the above-named Magistrate Judges have declared their candidacy for reappointment as a Magistrate Judge of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. Each of the above-named Magistrate Judges’ terms will expire on May 23, 2026.

Pursuant to the Standards and Procedures for the Selection and Tenure of Magistrate Judges, a committee of Superior Court judges designated by the Chief Judge will review the Magistrate Judges’ prior service and any comments from members of the bench, bar, and public. Following its review, the Committee will submit to the Chief Judge a written report and recommendation concerning the candidacy for reappointment. Comments on the performance of each Magistrate Judge submitted to the Committee are confidential and will not be released to the public or the magistrate judge. Any comments discussed with a magistrate judge will be discussed without revealing the source of such comment, absent written consent by the individual providing the comment. All comments must be received no later than April 4, 2026, and should be sent to Judge Michael O’Keefe and Judge Rainey Brandt at MagistrateJudgeCommittee@dcsc.gov.

Any information received by the Committee concerning a candidate under consideration for reappointment shall be maintained in strict confidence.
