NOTICE OF A PROPOSED ADOPTION OF A RESOLUTION APPROPRIATING SUPPLEMENTAL FUNDS FOR FAIRFAX COUNTY, VIRGINIA FOR THE TWELVE-MONTH PERIOD BEGINNING JULY 1, 2025 AND ENDING JUNE 30, 2026

Notice is hereby given in accordance with Section 15.2-2507 of the Code of Virginia that, at a regular meeting of the Urban County Board of Supervisors of Fairfax County, Virginia, held in the Board Auditorium of the Fairfax County Government Center at 12000 Government Center Parkway, Fairfax, Virginia, March 17, 2026, it was proposed to adopt a supplemental appropriation of funds for Fairfax County, Virginia for the twelve-month period beginning July 1, 2025, and ending June 30, 2026, and Clerk for said Board was directed to advertise the proposed resolution with notice that the Board will hold a public hearing on the same at a regular meeting to be held in the Board Auditorium of the Fairfax County Government Center on April 14 at 4:00 p.m. and April 15 and 16, 2026, at 3:00 p.m., at which meeting, persons affected may be heard on said.

The following summarizes the proposed amendments to the FY 2026 Budget Plan. Those funding adjustments included below are recommendations to revise funding levels in existing agencies and programs. The FY 2026 Third Quarter Review package, which includes these adjustments, was presented to the Board of Supervisors on March 17, 2026, and is available for public inspection online at http://www.fairfaxcounty.gov/budget/fy-2026-third-quarter-review.

* As a result of these adjustments, the FY 2026 available General Fund balance is $1,672,600. As of March 16, 2026, there are no FY 2026 Third Quarter Consideration Items.
