Vape Detection System

RFP for Vape Detection System: DC International School is seeking qualified vendors to provide, install, and support a fully integrated vape detection system at our Parks at Walter Reed campus in Washington, D.C., serving grades 6–12. The school requires a proactive monitoring solution capable of detecting vape aerosol, smoke, THC vapor, air quality changes, and tampering in real time, to enhance supervision and maintain a safe, healthy environment in restrooms, locker rooms, and other minimally monitored areas.

The system must provide immediate alerts to authorized staff via email, SMS, mobile app, and a centralized web-based dashboard. Devices must be durable, tamper-resistant, appropriate for restroom and locker room environments, and preferably wireless to minimize infrastructure disruption. The selected solution should strengthen deterrence, improve enforcement, enable data-driven interventions, and enhance student health and safety while maintaining privacy.
