INVITATION FOR BIDS

The District of Columbia Office of Contracting and Procurement (“OCP”), on behalf of the District Department of Transportation (“DDOT” or “Department”), is seeking a contractor to perform work that consists of repairing, replacing and upgrading safety appurtenances that have been damaged by motor vehicles and at locations where the current units do not meet the requirements of the National Cooperative Highway Research Program (NCHRP) Report 350/MASH 2016 in accordance with the Contract Documents, as defined herein IFB NO.: DCKA-2026-B-0078, GUARDRAILS AND IMPACT ATTENUATORS REPAIR, UPGRADE, AND REPLACEMENT.

The Contractor shall provide labor, materials, and equipment for the repair, upgrade, and replacement of Guardrails and Impact Attenuators in accordance with DC Department of Transportation standards and specifications. Tasks consist of constructing guardrail, impact attenuators, ornamental, chain link fencing, any type of railing and concrete barriers at various locations in the District of Columbia as directed by the DDOT Engineer.

The District contemplates award of one Indefinite Delivery-Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Contract for the services specified with payment based on fixed unit prices as set forth in the Price Schedule. This is a federally funded, open-market project. Bidders will be evaluated in accordance with the IFB and all applicable laws and regulations. Important dates related to this IFB can be seen below:

Virtual Pre-Bid Conference: Thursday, April 30, 2026 @ 10:00 AM EST

Questions Due Date: Wednesday, May 6, 2026

Bid Closing/Due Date: Thursday, May 21, 2026 @2:00 PM EST

The IFB documents and any amendments or updates to the IFB will be available on the District Department of Transportation Access Portal (DTAP) website, https://dtap.ddot.dc.gov and https://contracts.ocp.dc.gov/solicitations. Bidders interested in responding must submit questions and bids in accordance with the instructions set out in the IFB. All inquiries concerning this solicitation must be submitted in writing in accordance with the instructions set out in the IFB.

Bids will be accepted electronically as detailed in the solicitation documents.
