NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT THE COUNTY BOARD OF ARLINGTON CO., VA, on June 13 & 17, 2026 at 2100 Clarendon Boulevard, Suite 307, Arlington Virginia 22201 in a meeting at 9:30 AM or as soon thereafter as matters may be heard, will consider the following cases, after offering the public an opportunity to be heard in a public hearing.
Sign up to speak in advance at https://www.arlingtonva.us/Government/Departments/County-Board/County-Board-Meetings or call 703-228-3130 between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM starting the week before the meeting. Members of the public may participate virtually and in person. Speakers sign up will also be available in-person on the day of the meeting. The meeting will be available via live stream at www.arlingtonva.us and local cable stations on Comcast 25 & 1073 and Verizon FiOS 39 & 40.
Copies of proposed plans, ordinances, amendments and applications, and related planning case materials may be viewed in-person at Arlington County offices available in the Permit Arlington Center (or PAC) (2100 Clarendon Boulevard, Suite 107, Arlington, VA) between 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM Monday through Thursday, except for the third Wednesday of each month when the PAC’s hours are 9:00 AM-12:00 PM. Full text of proposed ordinances and County Code amendments may be examined in the County Board Clerk’s Office, Suite 300; 2100 Clarendon Blvd., Arlington, VA by contacting staff at (703) 228-3130. The term Site Plan in this notice refers to a Special Exception Site Plan as defined in the Arlington County Zoning Ordinance and is not the same as an engineering site plan or construction plans submitted in satisfaction of other codes or ordinances. The terms ACZO and GLUP means Arlington County Zoning Ordinance and General Land Use Plan, respectively. ZOA-2026-03 Amendments to ACZO Art. 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 11, 12, 14, and 18 to allow electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE) to encroach into required setbacks, permit EVSE as an accessory use in all zoning districts, establish new standards for parking areas with EVSE, create an electric vehicle (EV) accommodation parking space and associated use standards, revise the parking space definition to include spaces used exclusively for EV charging, and other editorial revisions. Ordinance to Amend, Reenact, and Recodify Chapter 10 (Trash, Recycling and care of premises), Article I (Residential Trash, Recycling and Organics), Section 10-8 (Trash, Recyclable Materials and Yard Trimmings Collection and Disposal Charges) of the Arlington County Code to set the Household Solid Waste Rate at $439.27.
Ordinance to amend, reenact, and recodify Chapter 46 (Arlington County Employees’ Supplemental Retirement System—II, “ACERS”) of the Code of Arlington County, Virginia to amend Article VIII, Section 42 to allow Public Safety members of the Arlington County Police Department who retire after June 30, 2026 and under Article VIII, Section 41 (Service-Connected Disability Retirement) to receive a benefit of 60% of their average final compensation between age 52 and attainment of their Social Security Normal Retirement Age and to receive a lifetime benefit of 66 2/3% of their average final compensation, if the member is also approved for Social Security Disability Income benefits.
