PUBLIC NOTICE

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT THE COUNTY BOARD OF ARLINGTON CO., VA, on July 18th , and July 21 st 2026 at 2100 Clarendon Boulevard, Suite 307, Arlington Virginia 22201 in a meeting at 9:30 AM or as soon thereafter as matters may be heard, will consider the following cases, after offering the public an opportunity to be heard in a public hearing.

The term Site Plan in this notice refers to a Special Exception Site Plan as defined in the Arlington County Zoning Ordinance and is not the same as an engineering site plan or construction plans submitted in satisfaction of other codes or ordinances. The terms ACZO and GLUP means Arlington County Zoning Ordinance and General Land Use Plan, respectively. Ordinances, Plans and Policies

Ordinance to amend, reenact, and recodify Chapter 15 (Noise Control), Sections 15-3 (Definitions) and 15-6 (Prohibited Acts) of the Arlington County Code to prohibit the operation of gas-powered leaf blowers and gas-powered leaf vacuums at any time, with an effective date of July 18, 2029, and an alternate effective date of January 18, 2028.

Ordinance to amend and reenact a noncodified ordinance titled “Arlington Transit Transportation System and Specialized Transit for Arlington Residents Passenger Fare Schedule” to correct: (a) One-way base fare for senior citizens and persons with disabilities, upon presentation of valid WMATA ID or Medicare card and (b) One-way base fare for students with a valid Arlington school ID.

Adoption of the proposed FY2027 – 2036 Capital Improvement Plan.
