Notice is hereby given that the District of Columbia (the “District”) will hold a telephonic public hearing with respect to the proposed reissuance by the District of its tax-exempt Revenue Bonds (American College of Cardiology Foundation Issue) Series 2018, in an aggregate amount not to exceed $15,000,000 (the “Bonds”). The proceeds of the Bonds were used to make a loan to the American College of Cardiology Foundation (the "Borrower"), a nonprofit corporation. The loan was used to: (A) renovate a portion of an approximately 172,000 square foot headquarters office building owned by ACCF and located at 2400 N Street, NW, Washington D.C. (the “Building”) and certain capital expenditures related to the renovation of the Building; (B) purchase and install equipment and furnishings, together with other property, real and personal, functionally related and subordinate thereto; (C) refinance certain taxable debt the proceeds of which were used to finance or refinance the acquisition, renovation, and equipping of the Building; and (D) make certain working capital and other expenditures directly related to the foregoing to the extent financeable including, without limitation, allowable costs of issuing the Bonds (collectively, the “Project”).
All of the facilities relating to the Project financed and refinanced with proceeds of the Bonds will be operated, managed and used by the Borrower as part of its mission to transform cardiovascular care and improve heart health.
The Bonds will be special, limited obligations of the District payable from loan payments received from the Borrower and other amounts pledged therefor. The Bonds will not be a general obligation of the District and will not be a pledge of or involve the faith and credit or the taxing power of the District.
The virtual public hearing, which may be continued or adjourned, will be held at 9:30 a.m. on July 22, 2026, using the dial-in telephone number and access code or the Zoom meeting provided at the top of this notice.
