The Government of the District of Columbia is soliciting electronic proposals for the following:

CAPTION: DC Department of Corrections Inmate Food Services and Management

The District of Columbia Office of Contracting and Procurement (OCP), on behalf of the Department of Corrections (DOC) (the District) is seeking a contractor to operate and manage the Department of Corrections' food service program at the Department of Corrections as described in Section C. There are 6 components to this service. These include operating inmate food services at two (2) facilities, Central Detention Facility (CDF) and Central Treatment Facility (CTF). The contractor will be providing food for approximately 1,300 (CDF) and 700 inmates (CTF) respectively with a capacity of 2,164 for CDF and 1,400 for CTF; operating a cafeteria style officers’ dining room food service at CDF and CTF, where the staff, contractor, or visitor can purchase (with their own funds) meals or food items ala carte; equipment maintenance and repair provisions; provision of limited auxiliary food services; and a registered dietician to approve all officers and inmate meals for nutritional value.
