PUBLIC NOTICE

On November 19, 2026 at 7 pm, the Northern Virginia Regional Park Authority (NOVA Parks) Board will consider a new regulation pursuant to Section 15.2-5704(18) of the Virginia Code governing the use of Washington and Old Dominion Railroad Regional Park (W&OD Park), which contains the 45-mile W&OD Trail and is owned by NOVA Parks and located in: Arlington County, Fairfax County, Loudon County, City of Falls Church, Town of Vienna, Town of Herndon, Town of Leesburg, and Town of Purcellville. The regulation addresses hours of operation, assembly of more than 25 people, pets, obeying posted signs, reckless behavior and prohibits certain devices from being used in W&OD Park. A copy of the full text of the regulation can be found in the Office of the Town or County Clerk of all the jurisdictions where the trail is located.
