TITLE: Software Engineer

EMPLOYER: CGI Technologies and Solutions Inc.

DUTIES: Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions. Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software. Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems. Ensures software standards are met.

LOCATION: Fairfax, VA (and various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.)

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, IT or a related field and 5 years in any job title involving experience using SQL Server. Prior experience must include: 5 years of experience working with stored procedures; 5 years of experience designing and developing Databases; 4 years of experience developing BI reports; 4 years of experience developing and consuming Rest APIs and web services; 2 years of experience designing, architecting and developing applications; 2 years of experience working in Agile environment; and 1 year of experience with Spark, Python, Hive, HDFS, YARN, KAFKA, MapReduce, and Oozie.

Must be willing to relocate to various unanticipated work locations throughout the U.S. All offers of employment are contingent upon the successful completion of a background check, which may also include a drug screen depending on work assignment.
