TITLE: Software Engineer

EMPLOYER: CGI Technologies and Solutions Inc.

DUTIES: CGI Technologies and Solutions Inc. has multiple openings for the position of Software Engineer, and the job duties are as follows:

- Designs, develops, documents, test and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.

- Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software.

- Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls.

- Prepares operating instructions.

- Designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems.

- Ensures software standards are met.

LOCATION: Fairfax, VA (and various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.)

REQUIREMENTS: Must have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, IT, or a related field, and 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the IT consulting industry.

Must have 5 years of experience in each of the following:

- Enhancing J2EE/Struts framework;

- Working with Java, Hibernate, and Spring MVC;

- Developing Spring Java REST APIs;

- Creating Spring Java Kafka adapter; and

- Developing Junit test cases.

Must have 3 years of experience in each of the following:

- Developing Perl scripts; and

- Working with Apache Tomcat and WAS.

Must have 1 year of experience with System and Performance testing.

Telecommuting permitted up to 75% from assigned location.

Must be willing to relocate to various unanticipated work locations throughout the U.S.
