TITLE: Software Quality/Test Engineer
EMPLOYER: CGI Technologies and Solutions Inc.
DUTIES: CGI Technologies and Solutions Inc. has multiple openings for the position of Software Quality/Test Engineer, and the job duties are as follows:
- Debug software products through the use of systematic tests to develop, apply, and maintain quality standards for products.
- Develop, modify, and execute software test plans, automated scripts and programs for testing.
- Analyze and write test standards and procedures.
- Maintain documentation of test results to assist in debugging modification of software.
- Analyze test results to ensure existing functionality and recommend corrective action.
- Consult with development engineers in resolution of problems.
- Provide feedback in preparation of technical appraisals of programming languages, systems, and computation software.
- Ensure quality computer integration into the overall functions of scientific computation, data acquisition, and processing.
LOCATION: Fairfax, VA (and various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.)
REQUIREMENTS: Must have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field, plus 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the IT or business consulting services industry.
Must have 5 years of experience in each of the following:
- Conducting performance testing using Microfocus LoadRunner, LoadRunner Enterprise, or Apache JMeter to evaluate application scalability and reliability; and
- Monitoring application performance and analysing system behavior using Dynatrace and Java VisualVM.
Must have 2 years of experience in each of the following:
- Designing and developing automated performance test scripts using Perl, Groovy, or Shell scripting;
- Writing and executing Oracle PL/SQL queries to validate backend data integrity;
- Operating within Linux/Unix environments to configure test setups and manage data;
- Collaborating with stakeholders to gather business and application monitoring requirements;
- Utilizing JIRA to log, track, and manage software defects; and
- Producing performance test result reports.
Must be willing to relocate to various unanticipated work locations throughout the U.S.
