TITLE: DevOps Engineer

EMPLOYER: CGI Technologies and Solutions Inc.

DUTIES: CGI Technologies and Solutions Inc. has multiple openings for the position of DevOps Engineer in Fairfax, VA, and the job duties are as follows:

- Work closely with developers to facilitate coordination among operations, development, and testing functions by automating and streamlining the integration and deployment processes.

- Provide administration, maintenance and automation of systems leveraging diverse technologies – including cloud.

- Deploy various web application deployments.

- Set up administrator and service accounts, maintain system documentation, and manage tuning system performance.

- Operational system activities include configuration management, application deployment, patching, updating and troubleshooting.

LOCATION: Fairfax, VA

REQUIREMENTS: Must have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field, plus 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the IT or business consulting services industry.

Must have 4 years of experience in each of the following:

- Developing and testing software using Python or Java in an Agile environment; and

- Working with Python scripting.

Must have 3 years of experience utilizing CI/CD tools and practices, including Jenkins, Bitbucket, SVN, UCD, GitHub, or GitLab.

Must have 2 years of experience in each of the following:

- Working with AWS tools and services, including cloud-native architecture patterns;

- Developing and maintaining Infrastructure as Code, using AWS CDK, Terraform, or CloudFormation;

- Deploying and managing containerized applications using Docker, Kubernetes, or ECS;

- Working with Oracle and SQL;

- Using Selenium, Cucumber, Gherkin, or JIRA; and

- Serving in a client facing capacity in software applications development testing.
