TITLE: Software Quality/Test Engineer

EMPLOYER: CGI Technologies and Solutions Inc.

DUTIES: CGI Technologies and Solutions Inc. has multiple openings for the position of Software Quality/Test Engineer and the job duties are as follows:

- Debug software products through the use of systematic tests to develop, apply, and maintain quality standards for company products.

- Develop, modify, and execute software test plans, automated scripts and program for testing.

- Analyze and write test standards and procedures.

- Maintain documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software.

- Analyze test results to ensure existing functionality and recommend corrective action.

- Consult with development engineers in resolution of problems.

- Provide feedback in preparation of technical appraisals of programming languages, systems, and computation software.

- Ensure quality computer integration into the overall functions of scientific computation, data acquisition, and processing.

LOCATION: Fairfax, VA (and various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.)

REQUIREMENTS: Must have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field, plus 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the IT industry.

Must have 5 years of experience in each of the following:

- Performing Quality Assurance (QA) software testing to validate software functionality, reliability, and performance;

- Creating automated, manual test cases, test plans, and test scenarios for comprehensive test coverage;

- Designing frameworks for endpoint testing of APIs using test-driven and behavior-driven development methodologies; and

- Designing and executing database verification using Structured Query Language (SQL).

Must have 2 years of experience in each of the following:

- Monitoring cloud-based automated testing infrastructure and mobile application testing practices;

- Designing and executing automated test scripts using one of the following: Selenium with Java, or OpenScript, or Oracle Application Testing Suite (OATS);

- Automating REST API testing to validate functionality, performance, and integration of web services;

- Integrating test frameworks into CI/CD processes; and

- Agile SDLC processes, including stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives using JIRA and Confluence.

Must be willing to relocate to various unanticipated work locations throughout the U.S.
