TITLE: Software Developer

EMPLOYER: CGI Federal Inc.

DUTIES: CGI Federal Inc. has multiple openings for the position of Software Developer, and the job duties are as follows:

- Research, design, develop, and/or modify enterprise-wide systems and/or applications software.

- Plan system and development deployment as well as be responsible for meeting software compliance standards.

- Evaluate interface between hardware and software, operational requirements, and characteristics of overall system.

- Document testing and maintenance of system corrections.

LOCATION: Fairfax, VA

REQUIREMENTS: Must have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field, plus 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the IT consulting industry.

Must have 5 years of experience in each of the following:

- Developing enterprise applications using J2EE and Spring technical stack; and

- Utilizing RESTful web services.

Must have 3 years of experience in each of the following:

- Developing and maintaining DevOps pipelines for building and deploying applications utilizing Jenkins;

- Utilizing GIT or Subversion to maintain code repository;

- Leveraging XML or JSON for service and system communication between front-end and back-end; and

- Deploying translation layer between code and databases using Hibernate ORM framework.

Must have 2 years of experience in each of the following:

- Developing enterprise applications using MySQL databases;

- Providing Operations and Maintenance (O&M) support of applications, including troubleshooting and remediation of data issues;

- Deploying background jobs in Docker to run on schedule; and

- Leveraging JUnit with Mockito mocking framework to conduct unit test coverage for services.
