TITLE: DevOps Engineer

EMPLOYER: CGI Technologies and Solutions Inc.

DUTIES: CGI Technologies and Solutions Inc. has multiple openings for the position of DevOps Engineer, and the job duties are as follows:

- Work closely with developers to facilitate coordination among operations, development, and testing functions by automating and streamlining the integration and deployment processes.

- Provide administration, maintenance and automation of systems leveraging diverse technologies – including cloud.

- Deploy various web application deployments.

- Set up administrator and service accounts, maintain system documentation, and manage tuning system performance.

- Operational system activities include configuration management, application deployment, patching, updating and troubleshooting.

LOCATION: Fairfax, VA (and various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.)

REQUIREMENTS: Must have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field, plus 5 years of experience in the IT or business consulting services industry. In lieu of a bachelor's degree, employer will accept 2 additional years of experience in the IT or business consulting services industry.

Must have 5 years of experience in each of the following:

- Working with SQL Server to manage database deployments;

- Developing database components using SAP Sybase;

- Performing module integration and conducting unit and integration testing;

- Installing and configuring SAP Sybase and database servers;

- Implementing testing, debugging, and correction of application errors;

- Automating deployment tasks and managing server configurations using Shell scripting;

- Working with Unix to automate system tasks and support deployment processes;

- Working with CI/CD pipelines to automate code integration, testing, and deployment; and

- Tracking tasks and coordinating issue resolution leveraging Jira.

Telecommuting permitted up to 75% from assigned location.

Must be willing to relocate to various unanticipated work locations throughout the U.S.
