TITLE: Software Engineer

EMPLOYER: CGI Technologies and Solutions Inc.

DUTIES: CGI Technologies and Solutions Inc. has multiple openings for the position of Software Engineer and the job duties are as follows:

- Design, develop, document, test and debug applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.

- Conduct multidisciplinary research and collaborate with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software.

- Determine computer user needs.

- Analyze system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls.

- Prepare operating instructions.

- Design and develop compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems.

- Ensure software standards are met.

LOCATION: Fairfax, VA (and various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.)

REQUIREMENTS: Must have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field plus 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the IT consulting industry.

Must have 5 years of experience in each of the following:

- Designing and developing enterprise web applications using Java, J2EE, Spring, and Spring Boot;

- Building Angular-based UIs and integrating with RESTful APIs for scalable applications;

- Implementing Microservices architecture, authentication (OAuth), and system integrations;

- Writing optimized SQL queries and working with Oracle, MySQL, and DB2 databases; and

- Developing PL/SQL procedures and packages for data-driven applications.

Must have 3 years experience in each of the following:

- Working with Git, GitHub, or Jira for version control, collaboration, and Agile project management; and

- Integrating Splunk for application monitoring and logging.

Telecommuting permitted up to 40% from assigned location.

Must be willing to relocate to various unanticipated work locations throughout the U.S.
